We are excited to announce that Lea Marie Perfetti, Astrologer & Yoga Teacher & Women’s Health Facilitator, will be returning to Hair•Color•Art for Ashtanga Yoga and a Women's Circle this fall. The yoga classes are open to EVERYONE, and the women's gathering is open to all who identify as a woman.

Lea will offer Ashtanga yoga classes throughout the weekend and will lead a Women’s Circle, on Saturday, October 26 where she will discuss honestly women and spirituality, especially in the yoga community. It has not always been a pretty story, yet women are the keepers of life. This is an important topic for women today.

Lea brings amazing energy and has been a friend of HCA for many years. We are so grateful to share our new community room with everyone for this workshop.

About Lea:

Lea Marie Perfetti, was born in Upstate, NY. She has degrees both in Biology and Women’s Studies, from Syracuse University. Lea started to practice yoga in 2001, while studying at University, and started teaching yoga almost immediately.

Shortly after finishing her degrees, and a research position on biodiversity in Utah, at Deseret Ranch, being inspired by a friend, she decided to travel to Thailand and India to continue her yogic and spiritual studies in 2003.

During 2003 and 2008, Lea made 4 trips to Mysore, India, staying for over 15 months in total, and received the official authorization from Sharath Jois, from Sharath Yoga Center, to teach the Traditional Ashtanga Yoga Method.

Lea began to teach Ashtanga Yoga internationally in 2004, when she went to live in Spain. From there, she was invited to teach retreats and courses around the world in countries such Brazil, Portugal, Norway, Spain, Romania, Thailand, Poland, Bali, Morocco, etc.

During 11 years, Lea and Tarik van Prehn, held the most popular destination yoga retreat in Europe, called Yoga, Surf & Sun. Where people from all over the world came to practice yoga and surf, in the idyllic location of SW Portugal.

In 2021, Lea began guiding and holding women’s circles as part of her Yoga program, to support women in their many life phases, from maiden, to mother, to crone. She has studied women’s health since she was in her early 20’s. She has now held women’s circles around the globe, helping women connect and trust in other women, and giving them a safe space for healing and transformation. Lea has been passionate about WOMANHOOD her whole life. She is the mother of three children, and has made a commitment to raise her children close to nature and as healthy as possible.

She is a practicing astrologer, since 2010, having given over 3000 consultations from people all over the world. Currently, considering herself an “Astro Therapist,” combining astrology, yoga, health, diet, and well-being in her work.

Lea speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
